We have developed our story idea further to get us closer to a final idea and ready to move on in the process of pre-production.

When Not To Interfere

  • Opening:
    • Poster advertising talent show, which is pulled down by the mime

    • Establishing shots of the stage etc.
      • the lights dim- only have simple lighting on the stage

      • the noise of the audience goes quiet
    • stage
      • quite a simple looking stage- a bit run down
      • 'TALENT' sign hanging above the stage- one of the letters hanging off
  • First act:
    • Gymnast (slapstick comedy)
    • She thinks she is good but she is actually not very talented
      • she is very cocky
    • She has dramatic lighting on the stage
    • She dramatically prepares for her performance
    • She just about makes it around the beam once when the mime pretends to accidentally turn off the light
      • the mime has a comical light bulb appear above his head when he has the idea to turn off the light
      • the mime shh's the audience

  • Second act:
    • Dramatic monologue performer (dark humor)
    • Shakespearean performance 
    • performer starts to read from his script (sub-titles on screen)
    • the mime has changed the script to words involving dark humor relating to Shakespeare
    • performer is annoyed and angry at the changes  in his script
    • performer catches the mime laughing, realises the mime has been the one causing the performances to fail, and goes to plot revenge with the other performers
  • Third act/Ending: 
    • (irony)
    • the mime goes to do his performance
    • he starts performing (stuck in a box routine)
    • the other performers can be seen at the side of the stage (behind the curtain) watching him angrily
    • a hook (controlled by the other performers) coming out from around the curtain and hooks the mime- pulling him off stage
    • (L falls from 'TALENT' sign above stage)
